In my mind
I gain comfort
from knowing we have

touched.

our bodies
to come together.
A layer of space
always persists
between your flesh
and mine
a space
between your lips
and mine.
Electromagnetic force
forever keeping our atoms
apart
leaving me no room
to miss
the touch
